The Rain Engine is a high-performance cross-platform 3D game and world simulation engine. It is used as the ground layer for all of Rainware's internal game and simulation applications, as well as for a select few external industrial simulation projects.
Due to its scalable and flexible design it is able to be used for a varying amount of platforms within a large performance-range.
Developers can make optimal use of a platform, be it a high-end gaming PC, to a low-end consumer grade machine. (Mobile device support planned)
While still being in development, it already supports some of the latest technologies available. Developers and designers get absolute freedom by the engine's data-driven design. Everything can be configured, everything can be extended, everything can be customized, allowing for an extremely wide range of visual styles and game types.
